After blaiming President Rodrigo Duterte for the sick zebras and giraffes at Caluit Safari Park, Busuanga, Palawan, Dra. Vicki Belo clarified that it was not her intention to criticized the current administration.

Recently, Belo posted on her Instagram a photo of zebras and giraffes with a caption of,
“Can you believe that this is in the #philippines? These animals were donated to us during Marcos regime and have lovingly cared for until P-Noy administration. Unfortunately, since the Duterte administration came in, they have been forgotten and have not received any feeds for a month now.
Please help save these beautiful #zebras and #giraffes.”
According to PEP.PH, Belo reiterated that her post wasn't meant for Duterte nor his administration.
Belo also said that her post meant to catch the attention of the offcials in Caluit Sanctuary Park.
"The Ig post was done to bring attention to the plight to these beautiful animals as shared to us by theircaretakers."
